So that means we are at $1800 divided by 7 or $257.14 per room for the two nights?
I'm still in, unless it gets worse.

That's what I calculated too.  I figure I can handle another $30 per night for the lodge room.

Is there Wi-Fi available???

Still trying to fill the rooms.  I'm running out of people to ask.  Jim has one but haven't gotten an answer yet.  No one has no idea how much these are.

That is the worst case scenario. I anticipate it will get better, but I just wanted to make everyone aware, beforehand.

I will probably cut it at an even $125 a night, making it $250, and pay the extra $50 to keep it even

If I had the extra money to cover the rooms myself, I would, but I just can't.

The last thing I wanted to do was adjust any pricing on anything. What I told you guys in the beginning is 100% what I expected everyone to pay.  :E:

Sorry guys  :(

I will ask this afternoon, the owners are in the middle of opening a hunting preserve at the moment, and have been spread very thin.

I will let you know ASAP

You shouldn't have to pay the extra out of your pocket.  We understand how things work or don't work.  Still working on it.  Don't give up hope.  You are doing an excellent job, as always.

We absolutely agree with Toots on this.

I am really hoping I can line the last rooms out by then. I have one "maybe" on one of the rooms pending his work situation, but that could run all the way up until a few days before, that he would know if he could come or not.

I am also reaching out to a few more.

We still have a few weeks, so I am hoping some of the interested folks will decide to come.

I also agree that you should not have to pay any extra. Hopefully more folks will come.

No way should you be responsible for the extra money for the rooms Ian! When you made the reservation we had 8 rooms accounted for and I believe all of us assumed based on interest that the 9th room would be taken. If 7 rooms is all that happens to be booked so be it the $50 extra dollars is worth it for a WVWWW GTG with some of our favorite  people! I too am hoping to have someone that may be able to take one of those rooms... its a huge long shot but I am not giving up hope on them.

I just want everyone to come, have a good time, and leave happy.

I just wanted to make everyone aware beforehand about the situation, and discuss the adjustments in pricing, so that nobody showed up expecting one, and being told another.

I am very excited that this GTG is happening this year, and our list already looks really good, I just hope we can add a couple more to it!

I just heard back from the owners..

Unfortunately the lodge DOES NOT have wifi.

Albeit, a bit odd in today's time, but I wouldn't expect we would have it at many of the state parks either.

Hi,

If it is not to late Pat & I would like to attend, We will would like also to stay in the Lodge if a room (as it does appear) is available.

The fun factor just went up!  :woohoo:

Officially a week away from Wild and Wonderful  :D

The list is updated as far as attendance and rooms. We only have one left, and I am really hoping I hear from one member this week about filling it.  (y)

Please don't forget to check out the food thread and update it if you are bringing things. We all love to eat, so please consider bringing something!  >:D

As of now, it looks like the weather is going to be the only damper on the weekend. I am hoping it shapes up a bit, but Just in case be mindful.

Saturday is supposed to be in the low 50's with a 60% chance of rain throughout the day. Bring a jacket and I suggest tennis shoes to wear while we are out on the Cruise. We will play it by ear, and can adapt as necessary with our group based on the weather.

Also, don't forget your FRS radios for cruising!  (y)

Sunday is slated to be slightly colder, with an equal chance of precipitation. So just remember to dress for the occasion.

What time does everyone plan on arriving? I will not get home from school until 2:30PM or so, and it will take me a little bit of time to get the rest of the things together and get over there. I may have to send mom & Ash ahead of me, to check in and get things set up.

Also, keep in mind that I've planned for us to have dinner at La Caretta Mexican Restaurant Friday evening, around 6:30 or 7, depending on when everyone arrives. We can always push it back slightly, if we have to!

I can't wait to see everyone next Friday  :B:

The weather can't dampen our fun... it may change plans a little but we will have a wonderful weekend no matter. This is the 2nd week in a row Taney has had to work on Friday and not get home till late. If this happens next week he may just meet me there.

I figure I'll leave home around 9 or 10 Friday morning, stop for lunch on the way, and arrive around 3 or 4.
I have not yet checked with OldVMer about driving down together.

I agree, the weather can't take the pep out of our step! But it would be WONDERFUL if it was as nice next weekend as it has been this week!  >:D I enjoy wearing shorts

That sounds good, I can't leave Morgantown until Noon at the earliest  :( And it'll take me 2-2.5 hours to get home, another 45min to get my things together, and 25min to get there.

I was just trying to get a count on when folks would be getting there to plan dinner, and see if I need to send mom and Ashley ahead to check in. I will probably do that, unless I can get out of Morgantown any earlier.

I'll plan to meet you at exit 93.

I haven't heard any objections to Dinner at La Caretta on Friday evening, or Breakfast in the Lodge on Saturday, so I will assume these plans are set  (y)

For lunch on the cruise, I have a place in mind. Fat Eddies at the Dam is a local landmark, known for their awesome food and ice cream. Whether we go here, depends on the weather, as the seating and ordering is outside. If the weather is not on our side, we can stop somewhere else for lunch!

Feel free to check them out on their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Fat-Eddies-347480415286590/timeline

You know I'm good with La Carreta.  :abuelito:
In fact, at this moment, I am at my local Mexican Restaurant "practicing."
