Maybe so or you all down in GA

Could be. Ashley's entire family on her dads side lives near ATL. Her grandma lived in Snellville, and her Grandpa lived in Loganville. We really like it down there as well!  (y)

Looks like the BBB's are out.  Prior commitment that doesn't look like we can get out of it.

Sorry

Sorry

Oh man I hate to hear that..  :( Hopefully next time. If you can get out of it, let me know  >:D

I have updated the first post with a Tentative Schedule of Events.

Remember that these times may not be set in stone depending on weather, and factors beyond our control.

If anyone has any additions, corrections, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to let me know!  (y)

I want this to be fun for anyone and everyone! :)

We also still have one room available in the lodge

Everyone is so quiet this year!

The deposit is in for the lodge!

If you are staying in a lodge room, you can either pay me at the GTG, or paypal me ahead of time, it is completely up to you. If you would like to do that, please PM me and let me know.

We STILL have one room left in the lodge and many options for rooms at the Sleep Inn, for anyone that is on the fence about coming.

If you would like to bring something for the pot luck dinner on Saturday, the food thread has been postedHere

If you are unsure about attending, I can guarantee that you will have a good time!   It has been said, that this a favorite GTG of some of the regulars that come each year!

There is still plenty of time to decide!  (y)

This March 19th is a landmark birthday for Joyce so I think we are going to opt out of the lodge and get a room at the Sleep Inn so we can have a little bit more privacy

Ian, you said you could get a good rate at the hotel, do I need to mention something to get that better rate? Looking at the website to make reservations, it looks like our rate with the AAA discount would be $90/night for a King room.

If you're interested in a room at the Sleep Inn, I will add you and get in contact with my guy. He said he could get my friends a really good rate, so I will get with him and see what he can do.

I will let you know ASAP what he can do! He wanted me to get a number first to see how many rooms we might need.

Since the lodge is a flat rate ($900.00) per night, and is only broken down by bedroom to give a feeling per room, in order for the equivalence to be $100.00 a night we need to fill all of the lodge rooms.

I have paid the deposit out of pocket (one nights stay) and will collect the remainder at the GTG, unless anyone wants to pay ahead of time, but it is perfectly fine if you choose not to.

The total cost for the lodge is $1800.00 for the weekend (2 nights) regardless of if we have 4 rooms left, or 0 rooms left.

Based on past attendance of filling up two full cabins each year(minimum) and overflow to the adjacent lodges/hotels nearby, I figured the lodge would not be an issue to fill this year with the 9 bedrooms.

So if you'd like to come, I would love to fill all the lodge rooms first, that way we completely offset the cost. :)

Only a little over a month away  (y) Can't wait to see you guys!

Contacted Martin and Jarra.  They are out.  Too many other trips to attend.  Contacted  Gemma and Tony.  They are also out.  Family commitments and scheduling difficulties.  I'm still trying to find someone to fill the rooms.

I hate to hear that! Tell Martin and Jarra I said hello! Also you rock for trying to recruit! I've also been checking with some folks to see about attending.

Mike and sandy are still on the fence at this point as well. I am hoping we have a couple more folks come around in the next couple weeks!  (y)

Mike and Sandy are both job hunting.  Sandy will find out soon if she got a job.  Said they probably won't be able to make it if they both get jobs.  Too soon to ask for time off.    They were thinking about driving down on Saturday but not sure if its doable.  They are totally bummed they won't be able to make it.

I'm really trying to get the room filled but nothing is working out.

Bummer  :(

Come on folks, lets fill the last rooms at the lodge! I know there are some lurkers that would like to come  >:D

Does the resort even allow pets on the property at all? If not, it would be tough for me to bring Faith since I would not be able to do any of the events like meals, etc.

Can you find out for me? I would kennel her instead and take a room in the lodge.

I texted the owners this morning, and I am waiting for a response. I know there is a policy of no pets in the buildings, but I am not sure about the grounds.  I will let you know as soon as I hear back from her! (y) I would love to see her, she's adorable

Jell-O shots?

I don't think it would be WWW without them  >:D

Dumb question, but since this isn't a state park, are they going to furnish:  sheets, towels, cooking utensils and etc?????  We could count on the state park.  Don't want to get down there to find out we need our own sheets and towels!!!!

Toots, great question!

Everything is included in our stay!  :)  (y)

The owner said to make ourselves at home when we are there!

I forgot to upload some newer photo's of the lodge. They had a pretty major fire in the basement shortly after the bought the whole Ranch in 2014, and had to gut, and redo the entire lodge.

The bedrooms were gutted but the decor pretty much stayed the same. The downstairs common areas, and kitchen were completely gutted and redone!

It is even nicer now, And everything is new!

For the price, we are actually getting a VERY nice, beautiful place to stay! I hope you are all as excited as I am for this years GTG!

Don't forget to bring some folding chairs, in case the weather is nice enough to spend time on the massive, double-level, back deck! throughout the weekend!

Update:

Now, unfortunately, we have two lodge rooms that are unfilled.

Please, if you would like to attend, I ask that we make every effort we can to fill the rooms at the lodge.

I do not want to have to adjust the pricing for the rooms that are already rented, but at this point, if we don't fill the remaining space, I will have no choice.  :(

We still have a few weeks left before the GTG, so hopefully we can gain a little more interest by then.

So that means we are at $1800 divided by 7 or $257.14 per room for the two nights?
I'm still in, unless it gets worse.
