There is a grocery store where I have stopped before.
Headed west on 50 towards Parkersburg, maybe a mile from I77, on the right there is a Kroger on 618 (Old US 50.)
If that works, we can stop there on the way Friday.

Anyone how the cabins are heated lol.
Saw some pics of wood burning fireplaces but I was thinking they were more for ascetics than function.

Sheetz isn't THAT bad. In a pinch I think their food options are pretty decent. I stopped at one in Harrisburg and the fries and sliders were better than what I ever gotten from any of the other fast food choices.

Yeah I see that the forecast keeps changing, at least with precipitation. The Temps still show a steady decline.through the weekend.

Well I won't be bringing my AV, have some electrical problems :E:

however on an upside I should be able to make a round trip on a single tank of diesel with my truck

They have forced heat, but the fireplaces work as well.

I eat Sheetz regularly.. There are 5 within a 10min radius in Morgantown.... :laugh:

Precipitation wise, we should be good on the weather except for maybe a dusting of snow into Sunday morning, but it will be COLD this weekend, so we will need to plan accordingly.

For saturday, Toots has inquired about taking a trip to Harrisville. It is roughly 5 miles from the lodge, and about a 10-12min drive.

We can visit Berdines 5 and dime, the oldest functioning 5 and dime in WV at 109 years old!

I am also working to get us a personal tour of Cliffs Museum of Automobilia located on Main St in Harrisville! It is 13,000 sqft of nothing but automobilia and collectibles!

Well I hate to do this, but I am going to have to cancel :needhug:

. It has now been confirmed that I will be working out of town on tomorrow (Friday) and I will not be getting back home until early evening and Joyce has to work on Saturday also. I was thinking of coming alone but I will be too tired to make that long drive alone and arrive at the park around midnight. I was looking forward to this get together since I would be seeing a few people that I have not seen in a while. Have fun and bundle up for the cold weather but that is fairly normal for this get together.

I am delayed a day. I found out while getting new tires that my rear leaf Springs snapped :E:

, a big thanks to the highway dept in my town for maintaining the roads, yeah thanks a whole bunch. Anyways getting them overnighted from Detroit and with any luck will be able to get on the road by 4 tomorrow and arrive by 2am at the latest.

Daggon it! Be safe! That is how it was with me when I went to Hugz place weekend before last, except it was just my rear brakes, and I was able to get them done in a pinch before I left and it only set me back about an hour!

I am going to call in the morning and set us up to be able to take a tour of Cliff's museum of automobilia on Saturday when we go into Harrisville.

I was thinking We could set it up for about 1:00 or 1:30. That would give us a first stop at Berdines and other small stops before we go there.

We can even grab a snack in town before dinner if we want, although there will be plenty to eat at the cabins :laugh:

I figured we could eat breakfast and head over to Harrisville around 11:00 or so. We can be flexible for sure since there aren't a TON of us!

We will be heading out around 11 tomorrow and plan to make it to North Bend by 3PM. Check in is at 4, but I think that we should be fine!

I will still be bringing things for S'Mores whether it be by the fire or in the cabin over the fireplace! The weather looks like it will be COLD all weekend but the chance of snow has diminished greatly.

Dress for the cold! We can still enjoy some time outside, just in shifts :laugh:

We got all the food items prepped this evening.. Ashley got her Hash brown Casserole & Asian coleslaw ready.... Mom got her cinnamon rolls done and made some of the best homemade hot dog chili she's ever done

We've also got some homemade pepperoni rolls and some other little snacks..

Ashley and I also made about 72 Watermelon Jell-O Shots with Malibu rum... They are her favorite and she did not want to run out of them.. :laugh:

I've got some bratwurst and weiner forks for the fire Friday night, whether inside or outside.

The chili is pretty darn good!

Ashley is very sick this morning and I'm afraid she might not be making it this weekend. I cannot answer for her, but I am letting her sleep for another hour or so before she makes her decision. This sickness is running rampant around here. She was negative for the flu yesterday, but just feels like garbage

I'm a little sniffly myself but I blame that on the huge temperature swings this week. It was 65 degrees yesterday.

We plan to leave around noon or a little earlier which puts us there at 3. We will see you guys in a few hours!

Oh no... say it isn't so!!! I dont want her to miss WVWWW, but even more so I don't want her feeling so bad.
